The Music of The Pearl
The last line of the pearl was very symbolic, it referred to the end, the end of greed, the evil, and the end of hope for the future. The music of the story was a very symbolic ever changing motif, it was a symbol for evil at times and peace at others. The pearl had many effects, Kino's family ended up being in danger a lot, and then at the end lost Coyottito because of the pearl. I think the symbolism that the pearl had on the society where Kino lived was greed among the whole village, everyone wanted it and had plans what they would do with it if they got it.

this is very true noah. I agree that when the pearl was gone there was an end to the evil. I also agree that the pearl had to go because of all of the bad things that were happening to Kino's family.
